What we look at
A good review looks through your funds to the shares inside them, then asks whether the whole portfolio still fits what the money is for. These are the things we check first:
- Overlap. Two large cap funds and a flexi cap fund often hold many of the same top companies. You pay several expense ratios for what is, in practice, one portfolio.
- Regular plans. A regular plan carries a distributor's commission inside its expense ratio. Over many years that gap compounds against you.
- Concentration. How much of your money sits in a handful of stocks or one sector, through all your funds together.
- Fit with your goals. Money you need in the next three years should not depend on how the stock market does that year.
- Tax. Before anything is sold, what the exit loads and capital gains tax would be, and whether to spread sales across financial years.
How it works
- 1. See the numbers yourself, freeAdd your funds or upload your consolidated account statement in our mutual fund overlap checker. It shows overlap and regular-plan costs in about three minutes.
- 2. Talk to an advisorThe first call is free, with no obligation. Show us what you own, and we will tell you what we would look at first.
- 3. Get one clear next stepWith Invsify Private, an advisor reviews everything you hold and gives you a plan. Nothing moves without your approval.
Why a fee-only review
A review is only as honest as the way the reviewer is paid. If the person reviewing your funds earns a commission on what you buy next, the review tends to end in a purchase. Invsify is a SEBI-registered investment adviser (INA000020572). You pay us ₹8,999 a year, fixed, and we take no commission from any fund house, so we earn the same whether you keep a fund, switch it or sell it.
That also means the answer can be to do nothing. If your portfolio is a couple of index funds and one SIP, a yearly check with the free tool may be all you need.
